Update on the Covid 19 Situation

As Covid cases continue to drop, we are hopeful that we will be able to re-open soon.

We don’t want to open too soon, and be back to square one, so we will follow guidance from the Scottish Government, though erring on the side of caution.

So far it is still the case that we must stay within our own local area (allowing 5 miles outside our boundary).

We can meet outside in groups of 4, from 2 households.

There will be more announcements next

week, when our First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon will give an ‘indicative timeline’ announcement on the reopening of the economy (probably on the 16th March)

Nicola stated earlier this week that, “We hope to be in a position to relax – at least to some extent – travel restrictions within Scotland in the weeks ahead…”

In the meantime, bookings in our lodges are being taken for May and onwards. If lockdown prevents travel, a full refund will be offered or dates moved. More info on our Covid page.

We expect a mass deluge of families and friends who want a staycation together. This happened at the end of the last lockdown, and we were booked out for the whole season.
