SOME CHANGES  MADE

Covid-19 cleaning

The Scottish Government’s COVID-19: Tourism and Hospitality Sector Guidance guidelines set out the standards to make our business COVID-19 safe.

CLEANING: We are following the cleaning protocol devised by ASSC (Association of Scotland’s Self-Caterers) along with other trade bodies and Visit Scotland. It has been adopted by the Scottish Government, see link to Cleaning Protocols. We  carry out a two-stage cleaning regime: a deep clean followed by disinfection of the whole lodge.

A cleaning tick list will be used to check disinfection of hand contacts ‘touch points’ including: light sockets, bedside tables, remote control, taps, toilet flush, toilet seat, door handles, iron board, iron, wardrobe and hangers, kettle, heaters. Dishes will be washed. In this way our guests can be confident that our lodges are squeaky clean with 99.99% of viruses and bacteria eliminated.

We have completed a training course specifically for holiday let cleaning via Landlord’s Little Helper on 17th June 2020. We have the certificate of competence to prove it!

Bed linen and towels will be washed  according to the latest virus-control guidance in the cleaning protocol.  We will rotate spare sets of duvets and pillows between groups of departing guests.

CHECK IN:

Instead of our usual check in procedure, where we would greet you at Reception and hand over your key, we will now arrange for you to do a self check in and you will find your keys in a safe place that we will communicate to you. If a code is required for access to the key, this will be sent to you by email.

CHECK OUT:

We ask that you strip the beds carefully and place in the bag provided along with the towels. You may prefer to bring your own bed linen, duvets and towels.

We will also ask you to empty all bins, leaving the bin bags in the outside bin.

We ask that you leave the windows open for ventilation just before you leave (unless it’s raining or windy)

RISK ASSESSMENT:

We have carried out a full Risk Assessment  for Covid-19 re-opening for premises and work activities outlining how we are meeting the government guidelines and implementing them in our business to keep staff and guests safe

SAFETY POLICY:

Our Safety policy is fully up to date
