February means …. Snowdrops!

The other day I took off for a walk up Moncreiffe Hill, just near our lodges at Bridge of Earn , in the late afternoon. There were no humans and it was lovely up there on my own.

Some of the paths were quite muddy, so I slip-sided my way around the hill as dusk was approaching.

In my head I was muttering: “sunset, slippery, snowdrop search”, over and over again.

And then …

I came across waves of carpets of Snowdrops, glimmering in the fading light – all nodding their shimmering heads in the light breeze, as if nodding towards Spring.

I spent ages there just looking at them, nestled in amongst the woodland.
