Spring is here and a whole host of Easter events and activities are lined up
PERTH MUSEUM OPENING
Saturday 30 March 2024
The brand spanking new Perth Museum opens its doors to the public this Easter weekend.
The Stone of Destiny will be on display (aka Stone of Scone). It was pinched from Scotland
700 years ago and is now being returned to it’s rightful place.
The new museum is housed in the Edwardian building that used to be the City Hall.
And the old venue of the museum is now Perth Art Gallery.

Easter Fun at Balhousie Castle, for all the family
Saturday 30 march, 10am – 2pm, £10 per child (adults with child free)
Ticket price includes all day pass to the museum
The Black Watch always pulls it out of the hat.
What a fab programme of Easter activities:
Easter egg hunt in the gardens, following clues and puzzles.
Easter egg trail in the museum, then crack the secret code
Decorate Easter Cookies

The famous egg hunt … ah this takes me back to when my children were small.
Auchingarrich Easter egg hunt was a family highlight.
Lots of lambs and chicks to cuddle too.

As ever, there are loads of sports and activities for the school holidays,
for pre-schoolers to teenagers in venues throughout Perthshire:
Pool-based activities: aquarun, fun floats, family fun, swimming lessons
Gymnastics, cricket, football, dance camp, swim and skate
Pre-choolers: mini kickers, soft play
And that’s just a sample!

Workshops, make a mural, drop in sessions to make and create,
Pop up studio in Gallery 1, filled with art materials and activities
You can add to a collaborative mural
Bookable workshops: print a tote bag, try out print techniques, get messy
