…is one of the reasons that February flies by, compared to sluggish January.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Every year, gardens in Perthshire welcome visitors to see the beautiful carpets of Snowdrops.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Just up the road from us is Scone Palace. They have 100 acres of grounds and gardens and they are welcoming visitors to see their carpets of Snowdrops up to the 10th March.

You can work up an appetite after exploring the gardens, to then demolish a fabulous scone or two at Scone. Gettit? They have a lovely cafe in the old palace kitchens.

Entrance is free to the gardens until the 10th March (Friday, Saturday, Sunday 10am – 4pm)

 

Irish Visit

 

Another reason this particular February has flown by, is that we had a visit from seven of my Irish cousins at the weekend.

Luckily we could accommodate them in our self-catering lodges so they could have their own space.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Well the Walsh family came in like a tornado, sweeping everying in its wake and leaving carnage when it left.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It was fantastic to see them all, and those seven siblings and my own siblings had not been under the same roof for many years. Yet it was as if we’d just all met regularly. They were just the same.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Wild, and natural and authentic and lovely (and noisy!). The fact that Ireland won their rugby match while they were here only added to the excitement.
