Perth Christmas Lights Switch On
The dazzling Christmas Lights Switch On, on 17th December, marks the start of the Perth Winter Festival.

The family-friendly fun begins in the afternoon in the Fair City with entertainment over 3 stages, music, street food. Pixie Lott will be singing
live and James Arthur and Stephen Mulhern (Britain’s Got Talent) will be dropping in for some festive fun.
There’s reindeers, ice carving, fairground rides …
While you’re here, pop in to some of the independent shops (Tayberry Gallery is one of my faves), to make a start on your Christmas shopping. Then pop in to one of the many cafes and bars for a pick-me-up.
As the afternoon turn to evening, we have the Christmas Parade.
Christmas Parade 5.30pm
Perth Santa Run, a 5km fun run through the streets of Perth.
Of course Santa leads the Christmas Parade which starts at Thimblerow, heading to South Street/Speygate then to the main stage on Tay Street ready for the official switch-on.
Lights Switch-On and Fireworks 6.15pm
Pixie Lott, James Arthur and Stephen Mulhern will be on the main stage for the countdown to the Christmas Lights Switch On, followed by a festive firework display. Not to be missed.
As part of the Winter Festival there’s also the Santa Run on 8 December, the Chocolate and Gin Street Festival on the 17 and 18 November, and the Christmas Markets.
