What’s HOT this July
Hills an Hour or Two Away
Sgor Gaoith is a fantastic Munro with breathtaking views. Starts at Glenfeshie near Newtonmore.
Two Munros for the price of one. Starts at Ben Lawers car park between Kenmore and Killin.
A favourite of mine because I love Corrie Fee. It’s a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSCI) and I could potter about here all day. It just so happens that you enter the cathedral-like corrie and then walk along the floor of it, before climbing up the other side to reach Mayar and Dreish. Another Munro-bagging day where 2 Munros are climbed.
At 2 hours 20 mins I absolutely have to include The Ben. Ben Nevis is the highest peak in Britain and is eminently do-able in a day from here.
Another close Munro – 40 mins away. Schiehallion is the conical peak seen from many other peaks in Scotland. It means Fairy Hill of the Caledonians
At only 40 minutes drive away, Ben Vrackie is a great chance to visit Pitlochry and climb a Corbett. I like this one.
Mount Keen – Munro, an hour and a half away.
Ben Lomond – Munro an hour and a half away
Ben More – Munro an hour and 20 mins away
There are many more …
