Christmas in Perth
There’s so much going on during this Festive Season in Perth.
On 5th December The Perth Churches Nativity Parade takes place at 5pm until 7pm. Join in the lantern parade starting at Thimble Row and ending at St John’s Kirk with mulled wine and mince pies. There will be carol singing, bell ringing and the switching on of the Nativity Scene. Everybody is welcome to join in with the parade including schools, local community groups and churches.
There’s the Perth Farmers Market on Saturday 5th and 19th December. Plenty of local seasonal produce for sale at the outdoor market, direct from the producers. There are lots of stalls selling wine, spirits, ale … oh! And foody stuff too including oils, seafood, meat, fruit and veg, cheese, jams … and did I mention wine?
Then there’s the Perth Santa Run on Saturday 12th December.
The 5km fun run starts at 12 midday at Horsecross Plaza and takes place in and around the streets of Perth, finishing at the North Inch. To register click here.
The runners get a Santa outfit to proudly run in, plus a goodie bag on finishing. Not only that, if you are spotted shopping in Perth in your Santa outfit, you might receive extra Christmas gifts and discounts. Ho Ho Ho.
On Saturday 12th December there’s the Perth Craft Market, all day at King Edward Street.
Christmas wouldn’t be the same without Panto. Come and see Beauty and the Beast at Perth Concert Hall from Saturday 12th to Saturday 26th December. A perfect way to enjoy some family time together.
These are just some of the many events and activities taking place around Perth this Christmas
