Fife Coastal Path (Kingsbarns to St Andrews)

It was a nice sunny March day, so we decided to do another bit of the Fife Coastal Path – Kingsbarns to St Andrews. We took the bus from St Andrews to Kingsbarns and headed for the beach.

This is a stunning section of the coastal path with lovely views of quiet sandy beaches

We passed close to a few golf courses, and there are notices posted to advise walkers of etiquette when the golfers are about to take a shot!

There were some strange rock formations, including Buddo Rock and Rock and Spindle.

We managed to cross the beach by the Rock and Spindle before high tide – it’s impassable at high tide so it’s important to check tide times.

Soon we climbed up to the clifftop again and had fine views over to St Andrews. Once back in this lovely bustling town, we clomped about in our muddy boots in some of the posh shops for a while before driving home tired and happy.
